It is a known fact that overweight and obese people are more prone to excessive sweating as they perspire more. However, excessive perspiration can be also due to several underlying medical conditions such as menopause, psychiatric illnesses and very active thyroid glands. Excessive sweating is also known to occur to people with no known medical condition and thus the cause of heavy sweating for this group of people is unknown.
It is very distressing to suffer from over sweating and many people with this condition also suffer from low self esteem. This is because excessive sweating may cause them to have undesirable body odor, looking unkempt and dirty. It is easier for those who are overweight to reduce excessive perspiration since it is just a matter of reducing their body fat weight. Losing weight is easy with the right combination of exercises and healthy eating habits. Many people who find it hard to lose weight and disagree with me that losing weight is easy is because they are doing it wrongly.
If excessive sweating is localized on parts of the body such as armpits, palms or the soles of feet, then treatments may be necessary to reduce over perspiration. Sometimes anti-perspirants applied to the affected body part may just stop excessive sweating albeit temporarily. Simple and non surgical medical treatments that are known to reduce or even sometimes stop excessive sweating successfully are Iontophoresis where a low electrical current is introduced to the affected parts of the body or getting Botulinum toxin injections commonly known as Botox injections.
If you are suffering from excessive sweating and over perspiration, and since this condition is most prevalent among people who are overweight, go get a medical check up to see if you are obese. If you are, then embark on a healthy diet and exercise program and your excessive sweating condition may be solved permanently.

The sweat lodge has been used by the indigenous population of the Americas all the way from the Eskimos south to the Mayans. Sweat lodges were used for everything from cure for illness and aching muscles to ridding oneself of evil spirits. In Europe the Romans used a more elaborate system of saunas while the Scandinavians used a simpler seat lodge similar to the Native Americans. These European cultures realized the diverse benefits of making the body sweat to release toxins. In Finland where the sauna has been a mainstay for over 1,000 years it is estimated that there is one sauna for every seven people!
Making the body sweat using dry saunas helps rid the body of toxic metals that exist in our environment assisting the kidneys in detoxifying the entire body. The sauna is also better to use if weight loss is desired due to the fact that it is harder on the body and burns additional calories. In fact, a 20 minutes sauna session may burn as many calories as a two or three miles jog! Remember that you are rapidly losing fluids when using a sauna and you need to replenish during and after to avoid any heart rhythm disruption as well as fatigue.
Sweating in a dry sauna also speeds up the metabolism and inhibits the development of bacteria and viruses. It also creates a reaction similar to fever that kills viruses and enhances the immune system. Another huge benefit of dry saunas is that they have been shown to lower blood pressure over time as well. Dr. Andre Lwoff, a French scientist who specialized in studying viruses showed that high temperatures in times of infection fought off viruses. A German physical education specialist by the name of Ernst found that marathon runners had no incidence of cancer which he attributed to their sweating out heavy metals that can cause cancer.
The benefits of using saunas to help your body release toxins on a daily basis have been proven over and over. You will see improved blood circulation, release of heavy metals and other toxins, weight loss, clearer skin and improved immune system response. Like anything that is taxing on the body you should consult your physician to be sure that it is safe for you to use saunas especially if you are over 60 years old or have a family history of heart disease.

In this toxic world where harmful chemicals enter your body on a daily basis, there is the inevitable need to detoxify. You intake arsenic and heavy metals along with the food you eat and the water you drink. Even the air that you breathe and which comes into contact with your skin contaminates your body with airborne particles and gases. Toxins will never cease to invade your diet and environment. The good news is detoxifying your body will not cost you a lot of time, money, and effort.
Saunas, apart from their relaxing and soothing benefits, are proven to be one of the easiest and most effective ways to get rid of the bodys pollutants. Saunas stimulate sweating by subjecting the body to a high temperature, from about 100 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit depending on whether one uses the conventional sauna or the much lower temperature of the far infrared sauna (FIRS). When you sweat, toxic chemicals that have accumulated in your body are purged out of your skins pores. It is estimated that around 30 percent of bodily wastes are expelled from the skin by way of perspiration. Further, the waste products secreted through the skin are more than common than those which are discharged with the urine and stool. Health practitioners have noted that smokers who use the sauna will often leave a yellow residue on their towels. Sauna owners also reported that a thick, black layer of accumulated tar build up on their sauna benches.
The sweat route is indeed the most natural, most passive, and most convenient way to eliminate body toxins. There is no drug to take and no pain to endure. While sweating is a natural mechanism, it must still be induced properly and safely to make it thoroughly effective in liberating harmful chemicals out of the body. Clinical studies show that an hour spent in a sauna will release about a quarter of sweat. Getting a sauna will surely cost you bucks, more so if you intend to install one in your private home. But when you consider the lifelong incapacity and enduring expenses of suffering from toxin-induced diseases like cancers, diabetes, Alzheimers disease, and heart stroke, a sauna is relatively cheap. Apart from releasing toxins, you also enjoy the calming and rejuvenating feeling saunas give by improving your body circulation and skin complexion. Ultimately, a proper sauna not only cleanses the skin surface but also purifies the body on a cellular level. Thats bodily cleansing inside and out!

Clogged Sweat Glands, Hyperhidrosis, Sweating
Everyone seeks to have beautiful facial skin and excessive sweating and facial oiliness can get in the way. But not everyone has this, special care has to be taken to keep facial skin healthy and beautiful. One of the biggest problems that many encounter is facial oiliness. Nature has given skin a natural ability to replenish itself. Skin has sebaceous glands, which release oil periodically. This oil lubricates the skin and prevents the skin from drying. This oil also reduces down the occurrence of wrinkles. But in some people oil is produced so excessively that it results in acne. There are several factors that contribute to the excessive production of oil. Excessive oiliness could be hereditary, may be caused because of pregnancy and also due to excessive perspiration.
Excessive sweating and facial oiliness is one of the disorders that are hard to deal with. Until now it was not understood why perspiration in excess came from. But finally it is understood that the primary cause for excessive perspiration is genetic disorder. Excessive perspiration is also caused due to obesity, menopause, hyperthyroidism and psychiatric disorders. Depending on the cause of excessive perspiration, it is classified in to two categories Primary Hyperhidrosis and Secondary Hyperhidrosis. Primary Hyperhidrosis is the case where in excessive perspiration of hands and sole of foot takes place, but the cause of it is unknown. Secondary Hyperhidrosis is the case where in excessive perspiration takes place because of some health disorder. Some of these disorders include AIDS, Cancer, certain medications. In this case excessive sweating and facial oiliness may occur.
Usually excessive perspiration takes place in hands and the soles of the foot, because of higher concentration of apocrine and eccrine glands. Under rare circumstances facial skin and armpit regions are also affected. Excessive perspiration on facial skin makes victims feel embarrassed. In this case sweating takes place on the face and scalp. Sweat runs through the face like water continuously. Usually this is considered as a genetic disorder. People with excessive sweating cannot apply make up nor do they prefer to go out doors. Excessive perspiration on facial skin makes it appear oilier. Usually oiliness on the skin is good to some extent but in excess it is harmful. Excessive perspiration of facial skin further deteriorates the situation. It increases the acne on the skin there by resulting unhealthy and awkward looking skin. This problem also develops inferiority complex among the victims. So, they become more and more introvert and after a while it may also result in some psychological disorder.
There are some solutions to overcome these problems, but nothing is perfect. For the prevention of excessive sweating two methods are available, one is surgical and the other is non surgical methods. One of the surgical treatments is sympathectomy. In this method pair of sympathetic nerves that are responsible for production of sweating are cut down at specific positions. Depending on the position where the nerve has been cut down perspiration in a region can be controlled. But the complication associated with it is sweating in excess takes place. For example if sweating on facial skin is controlled by this method then excessive sweating may take place under the breast or on the back.
There are some non surgical treatments available for controlling excessive facial perspiration. They include anti perspirants containing aluminum chloride, oral medications. For control of excessive facial sweating oral medications are usually preferred. Several facial gels are also available in the market. This gel has to be applied on the face as a thin coat. This gel is primarily composed of anti perspirant. One other way to get relieved from excessive oiliness caused by excessive perspiration is by washing face regularly.
If you suffer from excessive sweating and facial oiliness then it is high time you went to the doctor to find out what is best for you.

Face Sweat, Sweating
Sweating problems occur when the body produces perspiration, even when it is not in danger of overheating. Sometimes the body mistakenly produces sweat in response to nervousness or embarrassment, other times sweat is produced for no obvious cause. Excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis usually shows up in childhood but becomes most problematic during the young adult years as your body starts to go through puberty. Girls are affected three times more frequently than boys.
Sweating problems are both a personal and a professional liability. Many people who sweat excessively become anxious about going out in public and may sharply restrict their social contacts. Some people are embarrassed to date, or even to shake hands with a new acquaintance. Due to the smell of perspiration and the unsightliness of soaked clothing, employers may be reluctant to hire people who perspire heavily to work with the public. Some people whose hands sweat a lot complain of being unable to work because they can't handle paper
If you sweat excessively then you`re probably desperate to stop sweating. Many will go to any lengths, such as trying multiple antiperspirants and deodorants or paying hundreds of dollars for ineffective herbal remedies. Some people try antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications with varying degrees relief.
Others make changes in their diets or wash the affected area many times every day. Here is a couple of tips that can help:
- Avoiding strongly scented or spicy foods can reduce the odor of perspiration. It should be noted that while changes in diet and hygiene will not stop excessive sweating, they may in fact decrease the odor associated with it.
- Shaving your armpits religiously may stop the smell. Bacteria grow rampant in the hair under the arms and it is the bacteria feeding off the perspiration, not the perspiration itself, which causes odor.
Other people wanting to stop excessive sweating spend a lot of money going to doctors and trying radical treatments such as mild electric shocks (iontophoresis), botox injections, or even surgery to remove the sweat glands or to sever the line of communication between the nerves and the sweat glands. These treatments often work, but the cost is often prohibitive and the side effects can be unpleasant. There is how-ever another, more affordable option to stop excessive sweating. The treatment works by using 20% aluminium chloride soulutions to enter the sweat glands and causing them to swell, thus blocking perspiration from reaching the top layer of the skin. Over time, the sweat glands may actually shrink, which means less perspiration permanently. So don't let sweating problems continue to be an embarrassing issue in your life. It is actually possible to do something about it.
After struggling with excessive sweating for years Bill Platt wrote the manual "A 8 Step Manual to Stop Sweating When Regular Deodorants and Antiperspirants Don't Do the Trick." It lets you know how he stopped his own sweating problems and how you can too. Check it out www.NeverSweatAgain.com
